Vertical Gallery Space Commission
A commission in celebration of 175th anniversary of Manchester School of Art. The vertical Gallery is based in the NAD (new Art and Design) building. Where I proposed three free standing pieces that could be arranged together or apart upon one of the floors of the gallery. My original intention was to use shards of glazed ceramics, but a suggestion of another material (concrete), opened up a whole new avenue to explore. Natural breaking through the man-made.
