Earth disks
From the late Palaeolithic era to the early Neolithic era, symbolism was believed to have a key role in man’s understanding of the world around them. Round symbols had a particular importance to the different cultures, in its relation to life and the earth. The circle symbol appears in various forms and has different meanings like fertility, the cycle of life, earth and the four elements etc. The Earth disks take inspiration from this idea, becoming windows into the natural world.
